Who was James Montgomery Boice, and why does his ministry continue to shape faithful pastors and churches today?

In this episode of the Unashamed Truth Podcast, Grant Castleberry is joined by Dr. John Tweeddale, Vice President and Professor of Theology at Reformation Bible College, for an engaging conversation on the life, ministry, and enduring legacy of James Montgomery Boice.

Together they explore:

  • Who James Montgomery Boice was and why he remains one of the most influential yet underappreciated evangelical leaders of the twentieth century.

  • His commitment to expository preaching and the authority of Scripture.

  • His influence on figures such as R.C. Sproul, John MacArthur, John Piper, and Tim Keller.

  • The Philadelphia Conference on Reformed Theology and the resurgence of confessional evangelicalism.

  • The Chicago Statement on Biblical Inerrancy and Boice's leadership in defending biblical truth.

  • Practical lessons pastors and ministry leaders can learn from Boice's example today.

  • Recommended books and resources to begin reading Boice.
